What is Sky Multiroom?

Sky Q Multiscreen is a paid extra that comes with a Sky Q TV subscription which lets you watch Sky TV in multiple rooms in your house. You can watch TV in the second room of your choice for an additional fee on top of your Sky TV subscription. It comes standard with one Sky Q Mini box.

The main set-top TV box included with Sky Q is called a Sky Q 1TB UHD box because it has one terabyte (TB) storage and supports UHD viewing when available. There are also extra Sky Q Mini boxes included for multi-room viewing.

When using Sky Multiscreen:

  • You can view various Sky channels on multiple TVs. You can have up to four Sky+ boxes, and each one of them will have access to every channel you pay to.
  • Watch live TV or download on-demand content on up to four devices when you sign up for Sky Go Extra at no additional cost (in line with your TV subscription).
  • You can impose viewing restrictions on one box without impacting the others because each Sky box has its parental settings.

How much does Sky Multiroom cost?

New customers to Sky TV pay an extra £15 on multiroom subscriptions monthly; old customers get to pay £5 less than new customers. When you opt-in for Sky multiroom, you will get one Mini Sky Q box which costs £20 to install. You can also get three extra Mini Sky Q boxes: the first for free and the next two for £20 each.

How to get Sky Multiroom with a Sky Q box

With the Sky Q box, you can access limitless entertainment on Sky TV in different rooms in your house. Except if you opt-in for Sky Glass, you will get a Sky Q box when you subscribe to any of Sky TV's packages.

To get Sky multiroom with Sky Q box, you must add a multiroom subscription to your Sky TV subscription. When you opt-in for multiroom on Sky multiroom, you will get a mini Sky Q box at an installation cost of £20. You can add up to four mini Sky Q boxes for different rooms in your house.


Get Sky Multiroom with Sky Glass

Sky Glass is a television with Sky TV already installed on it. Sky Glass is called "whole home" rather than multiroom.

When you subscribe to Sky whole home, you will get pucks to connect to the TV sets in other rooms. These pucks cost as much as mini Sky Q boxes but come with more functionalities.

How does Sky Multiroom work

With Sky multiroom, you can use one subscription for up to four television sets in your house. Each Television set/ TV box works separately, and you can enjoy different contents and TV stations simultaneously.
