What are EE upgrade deals?

EE Upgrade deals allow you to change your plan for a more affordable option, or to get something more out of your pay monthly contract, like extra data or increased minutes.

When you upgrade, you will be given the choice of a fantastic new smartphone such as iPhone, Samsung or Huawei.

If you’re already an EE customer, you can find out if you’re ready to upgrade through your My EE account. Or, alternatively, text UP to 150 for free from an EE phone.

With all EE contracts, you can upgrade without a fee if you have less than 45 days until your plan ends. Or, if you’re in the last 100 days of your contract, you can get the latest device with no early upgrade fee if your new plan is dearer than your current plan.

Some contracts are also eligible for an annual upgrade. Annual upgrade is available to new and upgrading EE customers taking a qualifying 24-month 4GEE Max plan on eligible phones. This will allow you to upgrade after a year if your current phone is in good condition for a trade in and you can decide on a contract that costs the same or more than your current deal.

What type of upgrade deals does EE offer?

If you’d like a new phone, there are two main types of plan:

Contracts:

These are meant for new customers to the network, for example, if you’re currently on Three but would like to switch to EE

Upgrades:

If you’re an existing EE customer, you can place an upgrade order if you wish to stay with them and keep the same number and SIM. You’re usually able to upgrade 30-45 days before the end of your contract. You can text INFO to 85075 to see how long is left on your contract.

Are EE upgrade deals worth it?

With EE you can rely on their fantastic service, even if you’re on the other side of the world thanks to their free data roaming, making them the perfect network if you are choosing to upgrade just before a holiday or if you travel frequently with work.

As well as free romaing, EE also offer the option of three months free BT Sport or six months free Apple Music with an iPhone contract.

There are various great EE upgrade deals, but it may not always be the best option for you. So, if you think you can save money by waiting until the end of your contract, you can always wait and do a bit of research on the best EE mobile phone contracts suitable for you.
