There are different ways to cancel your iD mobile contract, this article will explain each method including extra information that can help customers move forward to other mobile network providers or choose another iD mobile contract.

Types of ways to cancel

If you want to join a new network but keep the same number, customers must request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from iD mobile in order to switch to a new provider, requesting a PAC code is free and customers don't have to give a notice period.

Looking to join a new mobile carrier completely without keeping your current iD mobile number? Then you must retrieve a STAC (Service Authorisation Termination Code) to complete this cancellation. Customers don't have to give a period of notice or pay extra fees for this type of cancellation.

A standard cancellation is simple and is for customers who want a new deal but still want iD mobile as their mobile network provider. However, members must give a 30day notice to complete their current deal and choose a new one at the end of their contract.

How to get my PAC

This is the most common method for people when cancelling a contract because customers prefer to keep their number when moving to a new provider.

To get the PAC code, clients can do it online by logging into the iD mobile Account Website and select My Account, then choose End My Plan.

Another way of retrieving the code is to receive it via text message, customers can just text PAC followed by your DOB (date of birth) in a DDMMYY format to the number 65075.

For those members who prefer to speak to an iD mobile online agent, can do so by calling 7777 and get your PAC. However, customers must call during the working hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm and Saturday – Sunday 8am – 8pm.

Follow any of these three methods to get a hold of your PAC code and move on to another provider.

STAC Cancellation

Unfortunately, by choosing this method of cancellation it means that customers will no longer have the iD mobile number. Therefore, clients can move into a new mobile network provider completely.

Getting your STAC code is simple, clients can do this online by logging into the iD mobile Account Website and select 'My Account', then choose 'End My Plan'.

The STAC code is 9 digits long, for example 321 546 CBA and customers must use this code within 30days or request a new one as it will expire at the end of this period.

By this time you should already have selected a new mobile network provider, once you use the STAC code your iD mobile account will automatically close.

Cancel your plan and join a new one

The standard cancellation process is different from the PAC and STAC method because customers must give a 30day notice prior to cancelling.

To request a standard iD mobile cancellation, call 7777 during the working hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm and Saturday – Sunday 8am – 8pm.

Remember you won't be moving to another provider, so customers can choose a deal that will suit them.

Find a new deal

If you have decided to cancel by a PAC or STAC method, then your intentions are to leave iD mobile; however, for clients who choose a standard cancellation should look at other deals.

iD mobile SIM only plans offer great prices on deals that provide a lot of data, minutes and texts to keep you online. These deals offer free roaming around the EU and a speedy 4G coverage around the UK.
