Where should I call to cancel Shell Energy?
If you are finished with your 18 month contract, you can choose another provider on the Openreach (BT line) network, which is almost every other ISP besides Virgin Media and a handful of smaller providers which operate their own infrastructure. Double check with your new provider to check which option they avail of.
When you switch between Openreach providers, your new provider will handle the whole process and transfer the line with only a small amount of disruption, usually a couple of minutes. This saves you time and effort trying to convince your current provider to cancel your contract.
If you are moving to a different network or simply no longer need broadband, then you'll need to contact Shell Energy to request cancellation. You can call them on 0330 0945801.
