Moving home with PLusnet: how to do it?

Relocations can often prove to be utterly stressful, so whether you're moving into a new house or office, Plusnet provides you with reliable assistance to stay connected to the world through their network.

Here are steps on how to move your home with Plusnet:

  • Firstly, you must inform Plusnet of your moving date and destination. You must notify them four weeks before your scheduled move date.
  • Additionally, if you are not subscribed to Plusnet for your phone line services, you'll need to request a date from your current phone line provider for when it will be set up. Also, request a Linked Order Reference Number from them (LORN).
  • Contact Plusnet's home move team at 08005871952 to book an appointment. Also, be sure to inform Plusnet if your move date happens to change abruptly to avoid incurring additional charges.

Fee amounts are all contingent on the type of customer you are. Plusnet usually charges a one-off amount of 65 for a home move for residential customers. However, Plusnet will not charge you for your home move if you take out a new contract.

For business customers, you will not be charged for Plusnet moving home services if you are on a 24-month plan or wish to take out a new contract. Line or cable installations will incur a service charge. If you don't want to sign a new contract and are not subscribed to a 24-month contract, there will be a one-off charge of £54.17 for moving.

Furthermore, you can cancel your Plusnet services when moving to a new house. Please find out how to do that by contacting them through their website or by calling 0800 432 0200. Please be aware that you might be charged an early cancellation fee depending on the package and contract you're subscribed to.

Moving home with Plusnet: Can I keep my Phone number?

If you have a landline with another provider, you must contact them to see if you can keep your number.
