Trade in with EE: how does it work?

Have a discarded smartphone or tablet sitting around? When you trade in your old smartphone at EE, you can use the value towards your early upgrade fee, the upfront cost of your new device, and new accessories, or you can use it to settle your current payment. You could also request a direct transfer of the funds to your bank account.

Trade-In, formerly Recycle and Reward, is a fantastic method to get money for your old electronics. Allowing you to trade in your old equipment for a predetermined sum simplifies the burden of getting rid of it. Additionally, you can trade in at any time that works for you.

To get an estimate and trade in your gadget:

  • Please visit the online Trade-In page or the closest EE store.
  • Call 150 from an EE phone.

Provide your smartphone in the prepaid envelope that EE will send you or hand it in at the store.

Things you must know about EE trade-in.

The following are important to understand EE trade-in:

  • You are responsible for removing all your device's SIM cards, memory cards, and personal data.
  • You agree that there is no possibility of recovery, and EE and Brightstar (the company in charge of EE trade-in) will not accept responsibility for any data loss or other information on the handset.
  • You understand that EE and Brightstar are not responsible for any fees or losses you may incur and that you will lose all content, including contact information, stored on the handset.
  • To offer EE your device, you must be at least 18 years old or have your parent's or guardian's consent.
  • You agree to transfer all ownership, rights, and interests to Brightstar on any device.

EE trade-in deals: get more of your old devices.

Instead of letting your devices lying around wasting, you can trade them in for discounts or deals on the EE network. You can also get cash from trading on your old phones or tablets. You could choose between trading it in for discounts on a new phone or getting cash in exchange for your old phone.

When you send in your old phone, EE will check for damages and value the phone based on its condition. If you think EE has valued the phone at the right price, you can decide to get cash back or a discount on a new phone; if not, you can get your old phone back.

Trade in with EE and upgrade your phone

Only clients and their registered devices with an EE Trade-in & Upgrade Program are eligible for the recycling programme. Also, the recycling scheme applies when you upgrade your equipment following the EE Trade-in & Upgrade Program requirements. Furthermore, only your old device, which must be given to Brightstar as part of an EE Trade-in & Upgrade Program, is covered under the recycling programme.

You are required to abide by these terms and conditions and the return or giving back processes outlined in an EE Trade-in & Upgrade Program or as directed to you.

The following choices might be accessible. When you upgrade your device, you can hand it into an EE store, send it to Brightstar using the packaging sent to you for this purpose, or transport it to a central location as instructed. Please heed all directions given to you.
