What is Sky Broadband Shield?

Sky Broadband Shield is a set of internet security solutions that protects your broadband from malware, viruses and other cyber-attacks.

Features include:

  1. Advanced protection from cyber-attacks, including viruses, malware and phishing
  2. Safe Search: Blocks explicit and adult content for minors
  3. Provide protection for all devices connected to your Wi-Fi: Guaranteed protection for your children across devices.
  4. Settings for age rating. Select the PG, 13 or 18 age settings to manage the content that users of your broadband connection have access to.
  5. Automatically change the age rating to 18+ - Set specific timings for when you want the age restrictions to be lifted so you may view mature movies after the kids have gone to bed.
  6. Change your settings to ban or allow particular websites or categories to control which websites are blocked.

Using the Sky Broadband Buddy app, you can implement additional parental controls, including controls for mobile devices. This app enables age restrictions and filtering on a per-device basis for mobile devices. Customers that upgrade their bundle to add Sky Broadband Boost get access to the app. More information on parental control features is provided later in this guide.
